Ok, this is chapter 2. I finished it a long time ago, but I keep changing parts of it cuz I can't seem to get satisfied with it...I think it's missing something, like it needs more added or changed...but there's no point dwelling on it, so I might as well post it ^^

chapter 2

Shinya neared the small red car, his breathing becoming uneven and labored. "I can do this...I can do this...it's no big deal..." He grasped the handle and opened the door gently. Taking a deep breath he slid into the passenger's seat in one fluid movement. He sat with hands folded in his lap, face forward and still.

"You don't have to be nervous...I just come to talk." A comforting voice to his left.

Shinya turned to the direction of the voice to see a man of small stature smiling kindly at him.

"So, what's your name?"

"Purinsesu...what do you come to talk about?"

"Ha, straight to business with no small talk before huh?. . .I've been feeling a bit down lately. There's someone that I like, but it's hopeless. I'll never be noticed." Kyo said with a sad sigh.

"Have you tried to tell her how you feel? I'm sure that-"

"But I can't do that!! I just. . .I can't talk right around them."

"Hm, I see...What about flowers?"

"Huh?"

"Send her flowers...but leave an anonymous letter, like a secret admirer. Then build up the mystery. Send more anonymous flowers, presents, chocolates. . .And once she's fallen for her admirer reveal your self to her, it'd be so romantic!" Shinya said with a wistful sigh.

"Ahh, good idea! You're brilliant!" Kyo leaned in kissing Shinya briefly. He pulled away and paused for a fleeting instant before reaching his hand up to the back of Shinya's slender neck, pulling him closer for a more intense kiss. Shinya responded on impulse to the kiss. After a few moments it ended as both slowly drew back for lack of air. Shinya looked at Kyo speechless in surprise.

"I-I should be going now... How much do I owe you?" Kyo asked timidly.

"Hmm...umm, I'm not sure to be honest. This is my first time ever having this sort of job..." Shinya said with a slight embarrassed smile.

"Ah, yes, Toshiya told me that." Kyo smiled again with the same kind look. " I think...300Francs should be good."1

1I know that now France uses the Euro now, but I wanted to use Francs XD . . .but I'm not sure, is 300 too much or not enough? US$ it's 53.88...does that seem right? I mean, all they did was talk and kiss o_0

Shiny brass slid into rusted metal with a twist and forward thrust, unlocking a large cumbersome door. A surge of warm air was released and enveloped the two figures standing in front of the ajar door, shielding them from the harsh cold of a winter's night. Mana walked into the apartment with slow smooth movements with Shinya hurrying behind him. Mana hung his coat up in the small closet by the front door then turned to Shinya for his. "Wear a warmer coat tomorrow, it will be colder" Mana dictated while taking Shinya's coat.

"That's the only coat I have." Shinya replied solemnly.

Mana looked at Shinya a moment in consideration. "Follow me." Mana abruptly headed down a dim and narrow hallway. He stopped a few feet into the hallway noticing that he was alone. He turned back and motioned a confused Shinya to follow him. They'd come to the middle of the hallway when Mana stopped and opened a small door. Reaching blindly into the dark, he pulled on a small string hanging from the ceiling to light the room. It was a small closet lined with fur coats of all shades and lengths. "Here, take this one." Mana said flatly handing Shinya a knee-length fur coat of varying tones of grey.

"I-I can't acce-"

"Take it, it's yours. I have plenty more."

Shinya smiled with pleasure and put the coat on to try it out. "It's so soft!" Shinya exclaimed like an excited child.

"Mm..." Mana slightly nodded in agreement, "down the hall to the right is a room that you can stay in. Go freshen up and I'll make something for dinner." Mana turned and made his way to a small kitchen at the front of the apartment. Shinya ventured further down the hall still wearing the fur coat with a smile. He reached the designated room and opened the door. He entered marveling at its decor. It was smaller than the room he'd had in Japan, but so lavishly decorated that the size seemed unimportant. He took off the coat, laying it casually on an oversized armchair in the corner of the room, and headed to the bathroom.

Mana walked down the hallway to Shinya's room holding a bundle of neatly folded clothes. He gently opened the door and went in; no Shinya. He noticed the bathroom door slightly opened and moved further into the room. He casually and quietly opened the door more. Shinya was soaking in the bath with soapy water covering him to his mid-torso, his head leaned back and eyes closed. Mana stood silent and still, taking in the scene before him. His eyes running over the contours of the exposed bits of Shinya's upper body. Shinya's eyes fluttered open on an instinctual feeling of another presence in the room. He turned his gaze to where Mana was standing now with a slight smirk.

"How long have you just been standing there?" Shinya asked a bit startled.

Mana's face cleared of any expression as he replied, "I've brought some clothes for you to change into...Dinner is almost ready." Mana left, closing the bathroom door while Shinya gawked at him with confusion and wide eyes. Mana placed the clothes on the bed and left Shinya's room just as he'd entered; gently closing the door.

Mana and Shinya sat on opposite ends of a small plush sofa. Mana casually read a novel, every so often taking a sip of tea from the cup on a small coffee table in front of the sofa, while Shinya sat to his left in silent contemplation. Shinya let out a deep sigh and turned to Mana, "Why did you let me stay here?"

Mana looked up from his book with a raised eyebrow and questioning look.

"I could have gotten a hotel room with the money I earned tonight and I-"

"Heh...you know, you remind me of myself when I first came here."

Shinya looked at him confused, pondering what he'd said. Shinya let out another sigh leaning in and lightly kissing Mana on the cheek, "Good night." He stood from the sofa and departed to his room, Mana returned to reading his book unfazed.
