Prolog

“Hey, Frisk. Promise me something, okay?

If you get out… if all of you get out, can you look after the other monsters a little?

Not every human is a nice as you. The same goes for monsters I guess…

I know you can do it, Frisk. You are the only one who can do it. Please, make sure they are happy.

And, uhm… if you find a golden flower on the surface, think of me. Even if it’s just a little. It's a promise, okay?”

Frisk opened her eyes and blinked against the sunlight shining through the curtains. And she was sure that she had closed closed them properly. But that wasn't what woke her up. It was Asriel. He appeared in her dreams regularly, even after all this time.

It had been 5 years now since the barrier to the underground vanished. To be honest, it was tough at the beginning. Humans didn't really had a good opinion in Monsters but Frisk somehow was able to manage that. Despite her age. That was propably the reason why she acted a bit more mature than other teenager her age. She was living with Toriel, who was working as a teacher. Sans and Papyrus lived next door and came over regularly. Undyne and Alphys were living together now too. Mettaton was still the same and the most famous monster of all. More people knew of him than of Asgore…

Frisk yawned a little and got up. Her mother, Toriel, was making breakfast. She loved her everyday life with all of her strange friends. She hoped this would continue forever.
