Warmth

Chapter 2

He leads me through the living room. It's all bright in here, the furniture all in light colours.

"My parent's aren't home. They wanted to have some time by themselves. And my grandfather's on vacation. In Tibet or something, I can't remember."

He scratches his head and smiles one of those goofy smiles.

I just nod. He throws his bag onto the armchair and flops down onto the couch.

"Sit down. Make yourself comfortable." He motions for the seat next to him. I sit down on the couch.

"We can watch some TV. Anything you want to see?" He turns to look at me with those sparkling, ruby coloured eyes.

Even they radiate warmth...

"No." I answer.

He takes the remote and flips through the channels. After some time he stops at a Music channel, the sound of one of those pathetic pop songs filling the room.

These untalented singers are pretty popular at the moment. He starts swaying with the music, just a little.

Only now I realize how close I'm sitting to him.

So warm...

He takes the remote again and turns off the TV.

"Let's go upstairs. There's nothing interesting on."

I nod again and he jumps off the couch and bounces up the stairs to his room.

When we arrive there, he takes a chair from out of his table and sits down on it, his crossed arms lying on the backrest.

I sit down on the couch standing in front of his huge window. I gaze out and see the ocean. It's windy outside so the waves are waving pretty high.

When I turn around Niwa's face is only inches away from mine. He's smiling broadly.

I raise one questioning eyebrow and he starts giggling.

"Nani?"

"Ah, nothing." He looks away and I notice him blushing. It's a cute sight and it makes me wanting him even more...

He turns back to look at me again and he's so close I can feel his warm breathing against my face.

I only need to lean forward.

Just a little bit...

The next moment he turns away, blushing even more than before.

"Go...gomen." I furrow my brow.

"Why are you apologizing?"

"I dunno. I thought I made you feel uncomfortable. By staring at you like that. It's just..." He looks to the floor.

"It's what?" I ask.

He seemed too be nervous, since we came into his room.

"I... I just realized how beautiful your eyes are. They... they remind me of the sea."

He blushes furiously and fumbles with the zipper of his shirt.

"Arigatou."

His head jerks up.

"You're not angry? I mean, it's not normal for a guy to tell another guy how..." he stops midsentence and it seems like he remembered something. He claps his hand over his mouth.

"Kuso, I'm so stupid. I totally forgot... About you, and me... And... and Krad. Gomen Hiwatari-kun."

"It's okay." He leans closer to me again, still sitting on the chair.

"No, it's not. I didn't think about what I was saying."

He gives me an apologetic look.

"I said it's okay. It's not like it would change anything. I feel what I feel."

He blinks a few times, before he stares into my eyes for while.

Then, ever so slowly he leans forward.

I can feel his warmth more and more intense.

So slowly....
