Schon wieder Tegaki D: Oh man, ich bin zu faul zum übersetzen OTL This image was stuck in my head for months D: I finally managed to draw it. These is basically *cough*Ivan's harem*cough* a depiction of the Warsaw Pact. The member states are the Soviet Union (consisting of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine and the Baltic States) , Poland, the German Democratic Republic (East Germany), Hungary, Czechoslovakia, Romania, Bulgaria, Albania. Since there are no official desings for the latter four only a small part of them is in the picture. (EDIT: someone pointed out that there is an official image of bulgaria! I completely forgot about it *fail* Let's say it's the guy in the lower left corner, mmmmkay orz?) Now for the symbolism: Since there was no sovereignty for the Baltic States, Ukraine and Belarus they were collars around their necks, representing the lack of freedom. The Nations in the foreground represent the so called satellite states. "A satellite state (sometimes referred to as a client state) is a political term that refers to a country which is formally independent, but under heavy influence or control by another country. It's used mainly to refer to Central and Eastern European countries of the Warsaw Pact during the Cold War. As used for Central and Eastern European countries it implies that the countries in question were "satellites" under the hegemony of the Soviet Union. " It looks like they are free but if you take a closer look they are chained to Russia by ancle shackles. Russia himself is pretty much nothing more than a puppet controlled by higher forces (his bosses) so that's why there's a collar around his neck, too. He sits on the throne but it doesn't mean he's free at all (not even to leave the throne). Shit, that picture took me days! I lost motivation halfway through (I planned to make a super-awesome and symbolical background and a badass throne lol ). Why do I fail so hard *sob* Gilbert wears a GDR NVA-Uniform (I've already drawn him wearing one) because obviously he coudn't keep the wehrmachtsuniform (because nazis and shit, you know the deal). Just wanted to explain so you're not confused about his uniform. |

Your simbolism is epic win!
XD
