| There was an odd and old painting of a boy. Derek remembered that he has found it once on the attic of his family home, as he was younger and his family still alive. He remembered that he had asked his mother about it and how her eyes had gone sad. “It’s the boy from your favorite good night story, don’t you remember?” She had said and then sat down with him and told the story of her father and his lost brother. The uncle she never had and who was the painter of that odd portrait. He was the one who knew the boy and loved him once such a long time ago; the one who searched for the boy, after he was trapped with the gruesome evil inside in the witching well, and never came back.
