Fanart: The Medusa's Struggle

| ~Medusa was once a beautiful woman, adored by countless men far and wide. Yet the one to catch her attention was Poseidon, ruler over the endless seas. He courted her for many a day and night, until finally, she gave in and the two of them joined in a temple of Athena. Enraged by such a sinful act being committed on her grounds, the goddess cursed Medusa, endowing her with a head full of snakes where once her long hair had been. From now on, any man who should lay his eyes on her, was condemned to turn into stone.~ I've been wanting to draw this one for a long time - my take on the Medusa story, as you can see with a "little" bit of Naga mixed in. Also, I kinda of don't believe that Medusa - or anyone for that matter - was too thrilled about her new form (thus the "struggle" with the snakes on her head). Done completely in Photoshop (since I will finally switch from Windows to Apple in a couple of weeks and there is no opencanvas on OS X yet - and I don't plan on dual booting or "parallel"ing on every 2nd task I do).
